Zainab Sarwat has been teaching English language at Aligarh Muslim University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English. She earned her PhD on “Assessing Self-Learning Materials for Writing Tasks in Open and Distance Learning mode (ODL) in 2014 . Her areas of interest are English Language Teaching (ELT) Developing Self-learning Materials/ Material Production, Phonetics, Testing and Assessment, Activity/Tasks Based learning.  She has published various papers, national and international in ELT. She has been associated with the Access Micro-scholarship Program sponsored by RELO, U.S Embassy for the last 12 years.

She was invited to participate in a two week in-person exchange (March 3-25, 2023) program on “Exploring American Perspectives through Popular Culture” for EnglishAccess Microscholarship Teachers sponsored by The US Department of StatesBureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at Kansas State University, USA.She was also invited to participate as a panellist at TESOL Convention 2023, held atPortland, Oregon, USA sponsored by the Office of English Language ProgramsSince 2023 she has been engaged as a Community Coach on the English AccessProgram, Community of Practice (CoP), under the aegis of US Department of State.
