Dr. Fatimah Javed completed her BA and MA in English literature from Aligarh Muslim University in 2010 and 2012, respectively, with first division, securing first position in both courses. She has four gold medals to her credit, awarded for being the university topper in both graduation and master's. During her BA, she was also adjudged the Best Girl of Women's College in the session 2009-10, for which she was conferred the prestigious Papa Mian Padma Bhushan Award. She earned her Ph.D. in 2017. The topic of her research is "From Shakespearean text to cinema: A study of select dramaturgic adaptations". The work is a detailed comparative analysis between Shakespeare's classic tragedies, namely Macbeth, Othello, and Hamlet, with the trilogy of adaptations (Maqbool, Omkara, and Haider) by notable film director Vishal Bhardwaj. Dr. Fatimah has more than 07 years of Teaching experience in the Department of English as an Assistant Professor (C)/ Guest Teacher. Apart from teaching, she has published 02 International papers in ESCI and Scopus-indexed journals (Q1 and Q2), 04 papers in Peer-reviewed/UGC-approved Journals, and 03 Book chapters, out of which 2 are in an edited book published by Springer. She has also presented 03  papers at national and international conferences. Her areas of interest include Shakespearean Drama, film studies, and comparative literature.
