  • About the Department

The Department of Periodontia & Community Dentistry was established in 2000. It was later bifurcated as the Department of Periodontology and the Department of Public Health Dentistry on 16th March 2026. The Department of Periodontology is a pioneering department dedicated to advancing periodontal care. Since its inception, the department has been instrumental in teaching Periodontology to undergraduate students. In 2008, we introduced the MDS course in Periodontics (3 seats/year). Additionally, we offer a two-year full-time Dental Hygiene course recognized by the Dental Council of India.
