physician-scientist and academician with over a decade of expertise spanning
Internal Medicine, Hepatology, Liver Transplant, and Gastroenterology.
Currently serving as Assistant Professor at the Department of Medicine,
Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh, with specialized DM
(Hepatology) training from PGIMER, Chandigarh, where he graduated as Topper.
Trained in advanced GI endoscopy, ERCP, and endoscopic ultrasound at PGIMER,
Chandigarh, and holds postgraduate diplomas from the Royal College of
Physicians, England, and the American College of Gastroenterology, USA. A
prolific researcher and thought leader with 63 peer-reviewed publications, 3 authored books, 4 book chapters, 15 published
abstracts, and 15 papers presented at national and international conferences.
Published extensively in top-tier, high-impact journals including The Lancet,
The Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Journal of Hepatology, Journal of
Clinical Gastroenterology, Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology, JGH
Open, and Digestive Diseases and Sciences (Springer Nature). Attended over 55 conferences
including the American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions (Chicago &
San Francisco), APICON, CSI, and multiple international symposia. Served as
Chairperson, Faculty, and Invited Speaker at numerous national and
international conferences, and as Expert for the Jammu & Kashmir Public
Service Commission. Active member of 7 leading professional bodies including
the American College of Physicians (ACP), Indian National Association for the
Study of Liver (INASL), and Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG), and
serves on the editorial boards of 4 international journals. Special research
interests include hepatocellular carcinoma, vascular liver diseases, liver
transplant, and portal hypertension. In recognition of his exceptional clinical excellence, scholarly achievements, and distinguished research contributions, he has been elected Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP, USA) — the most prestigious distinction conferred upon an elite cadre of physicians and researchers worldwide.
