APICON 2026:

Prof. Mohd Aslam, In-charge, Nephrology Section, Department of Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University, delivered an invited lecture at the prestigious APICON 2026 held in Patna.

He spoke on the topic “Current Insights in Pregnancy-Related Acute Kidney Injury (AKI)”, highlighting recent advances in understanding the pathophysiology, early diagnosis, and management strategies of AKI in pregnancy. His session was part of the nephrology scientific program and was attended by leading physicians and nephrologists from across the country

Dr. Saif Quaiser, Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University, delivered an expert lecture at the prestigious APICON 2026 held in Patna.

Dr. Quaiser was invited as a speaker in a scientific session where he presented on “Extracorporeal Therapy in Poisoning”, highlighting the evolving role of renal replacement therapies and extracorporeal modalities in the management of toxicological emergencies.

Dr. Akash, Department of Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University, delivered a lecture at the prestigious APICON 2026 held in Patna.

He participated as a speaker in a scientific session and contributed to discussions on contemporary topics in internal medicine. During his lecture, Dr. Akash emphasized evidence-based clinical practice, rational diagnostic approaches, and integration of clinical expertise with modern advancements in medicine.

ISNCON, December 2025:
Dr. Saif Quaiser, Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University**, delivered an invited lecture at the prestigious ISNCON 2025 held at Lucknow.

He spoke on the topic “Poisoning and Envenomation Induced Acute Kidney Injury”, highlighting critical aspects of nephrotoxic insults, early identification of high-risk cases, and the role of timely renal replacement therapy in improving patient outcomes.

Dr. Haider Husaini, Department of Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University, played a significant role during the COVID-19 pandemic and was recognized for his outstanding services.

He was conferred with the prestigious “Saviour Award” by the National Health Mission (NHM) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for his contributions to the successful rollout of COVID-19 vaccination in Uttar Pradesh.

World Hepatitis Day was organized by the department in 2009 and 2010 which was reported by various National newspapers

World heart day was observed in Sept.2011 by organising public lectures anf healthy heart camps in and around aligarh.
