Alumni Feedback and Outreach Activities
Alumni Feedback
The Department of Medicine has established a structured alumni feedback system to ensure continuous quality improvement in postgraduate training. Feedback is collected through online surveys, alumni interactions, and academic meetings from graduates working in diverse healthcare settings across India and abroad.
The feedback focuses on key domains such as:
- Clinical training and bedside teaching
- Procedural exposure and critical care training
- Research guidance and academic environment
- Infrastructure and laboratory support
The collected feedback is systematically analyzed by the Departmental Academic Committee, and actionable insights are incorporated into curriculum planning, teaching methodologies, and clinical training schedules. This has led to improvements in competency-based training, enhanced procedural exposure, and strengthened research mentorship.
Alumni are actively engaged in departmental activities through guest lectures, CME programs, and career guidance sessions, contributing to academic enrichment and institutional development on a regular basis.
Outreach Activities
The Department actively participates in community-oriented healthcare services, reflecting its commitment to social responsibility and alignment with national health priorities.
Key outreach initiatives include:
- Community health camps providing free consultation, screening for diabetes, hypertension, and kidney diseases
- Awareness programs on chronic diseases such as CKD, liver disorders, and lifestyle-related illnesses
- Participation in national health programs targeting non-communicable and infectious diseases
- Health education activities in schools and community centers promoting preventive healthcare
- Outreach services in rural and underserved areas to improve accessibility and early diagnosis
These activities not only enhance community health but also provide practical exposure to postgraduate students in preventive and social medicine aspects.
