Dr Suhaib Qayyoom is working as Assistant Professor in CAS, Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University. His specialisation is in Medieval Indian History. His research focuses on the socio-religious and intellectual currents of the Mughal period, with particular emphasis on interfaith relations and scholarly traditions.

He completed his Ph.D. on the theme “Relations of Mughal Emperors and Ruling Elite with Non-Sufi Saints of India,”, this study examined the dynamics of imperial engagement with diverse religious communities in pre modern India. His postdoctoral research further explored “A Study of Ulama, Mashaikh and Non-Muslim Divines of Akbar’s Period,” analysing their intellectual contributions, institutional roles, and interactions with the Mughal state.

Dr Suhaib Qayyoom's broader academic interests include Sufism, religious pluralism, intellectual history, and state-society relations in medieval India. He is actively engaged in teaching, research, and academic writing in the field.
