Mohd. Shamim is a Professor in the Department of Commerce, A.M.U. Aligarh. He got his school education from his home town Barabanki. He completed 10+2, B.Com (Hons.), Master of Finance and Control (MFC) and a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Commerce, AMU Aligarh. He was a topper in Master of Finance and Control (MFC).

His research and teaching interests include Corporate Finance, Investment, Financial Derivatives, Research Methodology, and Applied Accounting & Statistics in Business finance. He got papers published in Internation Journal of Management (Scopus Indexed),  Journal of Problems and Perspectives in Management (Scopus Indexed), Internanational Journal of Managerial and Financial Accounting ( Scopus Indexed), International Journal of Trade and Global Markets (Scopus Indexed), Directory of Open Indexed Journals( Scopus Indexed) and Springers Book series( Scopus Indexed). He is a prolific speaker and have been invited by Other universities, institutions and colleges. He is also a visiting faculty of Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India ( Aligarh Chapter). 

He has written a book on Financial Management  and contributed many chapters in the subject of Management Accounting, Portfolio Management, Business Statistics and Security market for the Centre of Distance Education, Aligarh Muslim University. He has also occupied many administrative positions in the Uniniversity system like, Warden, Food Incharge, Prisedent Literary and Cultural Society, Tabulatar, Training & Placement Officer (TPO), Assistant Superintendent,  

Superintendent, 
Pro Proctor

Deputy Proctor, President Swimming Club, etc. He is currently A financial Consultant of Dawakhana Tibbiya College, AMU, and Cource Coordinator (Commerce Stream) at 

Centre of Distance Education, Aligarh Muslim University. 

He is an active sportsperson and has won many prizes in Crictet and Badminton.
