Prof. Mohd Mohsin Khan, Ph.D. is a distinguished academician and administrator with over three decades of teaching, research, and leadership experience in the fields of Commerce, Finance, Banking and Entrepreneurship. He is currently serving as Pro-Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) since March 2025, having earlier served as Finance Officer (2021–2025), Proctor (2015–2019), Dean, Faculty of Commerce (2014–2016) and Chairman, Department of Commerce (2016–2019). 

A Professor in the Department of Commerce, AMU, Prof. Khan has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses for more than 30 years, specializing in Financial Institutions and Markets, Banking, International Business, Entrepreneurship and Business Statistics. His research interests encompass Finance, Banking and Entrepreneurship, and he has successfully completed major research projects sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). 

An accomplished researcher and mentor, Prof. Khan has guided 15 doctoral scholars to completion and supervised numerous postgraduate dissertations. His scholarly contributions include publications in reputed national and international journals on entrepreneurship, intellectual capital, banking, microfinance, economic development and financial markets. 

Prof. Khan has actively contributed to academic governance and higher education policy through his membership of various statutory bodies, including the Finance Committee of Maulana Azad National Urdu University and has served as a paper setter and academic expert for several public service commissions and universities. He has also organized numerous national and international conferences, workshops and capacity-building programmes aimed at advancing research and academic excellence.  Being a sports enthusiast, he always plays an active role in the University Games Committee. He has served as the President of the Swimming Club as well.
