Dr. Lamaan Sami is an Associate Professor in the Department of Commerce at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. She holds a Ph.D., M.Com, and PGDBA, with specialization in cooperative management and commerce. Her core research areas include microfinance, rural development, banking, corporate social responsibility, and digital finance. She has published over 30 research papers in reputed national and international journals and has authored 7 books along with 1 monograph. She has also successfully guided multiple Ph.D. scholars and is currently supervising several ongoing doctoral research projects.
She has actively contributed to the global academic community through participation and presentations at numerous national and international conferences, including prestigious platforms such as the Global Research Foundation for Corporate Governance conference held in London. She is a recipient of the AICPERT Academic Excellence Award (2022) for Outstanding Researcher. In addition to her academic achievements, Dr. Sami has been actively involved in academic administration, conference organization, and social outreach initiatives, demonstrating her commitment to both institutional excellence and societal development.
