Dr. Asiya Chaudhary is a Professor in the Department of Commerce at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), with over two decades of distinguished experience in teaching, research, and administration. Her academic expertise spans a wide range of postgraduate and undergraduate programs, including MBA Human Resource, MBA Insurance, MBA Financial Management, MBA Tourism, M.Com, B.Com, etc. She specialises in Direct Taxation, Business Statistics, Business and Managerial Economics, Marketing, and Consumer Behaviour.


Dr. Chaudhary has authored books and has published extensively in reputed ABDC, WoS, and Scopus-indexed journals. She has also presented papers at prestigious national and international conferences. Actively engaged in capacity building, she has organised and conducted training programs, workshops, conferences, seminars, and FDPs in collaboration with organisations like ICSSR, UGC, the National Commission for Women, and IIM Kashipur. Her international academic engagements include contributions to the Royal University of Bhutan, the Mahatma Gandhi Institute (Mauritius), and the University of Economics in Bratislava, Czech Republic.


A committed research mentor, Dr. Chaudhary has guided numerous Ph.D. scholars in the areas of Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Industry. She is also at the forefront of entrepreneurship development initiatives. She signed a five-year MoU with the University of Houston, USA, to implement the SURE℠ Program at AMU, which fosters entrepreneurship among under-resourced communities through education, mentoring, and networking. Building on this vision, she has also designed and launched a course on Entrepreneurship on the SWAYAM portal.


In addition to her academic and research contributions, Dr. Chaudhary has held several significant administrative positions at AMU. She is currently the Provost of Begum Azizun Nisa Hall and serves on key committees, including the Centre Purchase Committee and the Internal Complaints Committee. She has previously served as Deputy Director, Residential Coaching Academy; Provost, Indira Gandhi Hall; Course Coordinator, B.Com Programme (Centre for Distance Education); and Chief Coordinator, United Nations Chapter at AMU.


Through her academic leadership, research contributions, and community engagement, Dr. Chaudhary continues to play a pivotal role in advancing knowledge, fostering entrepreneurship, and strengthening institutional development in the field of commerce.
