AMU Malappuram Centre, Kerala

To strengthen the environmental commitment of students in the State, Directorate of Environment & Climate Change (DoECC), Government of Kerala launched  Bhoo Mithra Sena Clubs (BMCs) in all districts. Vide order no. D.O.E.C.C/E12704/2019 dtd 25/09/2019, the Directorate granted AMU Centre Malappuram a Bhoomitrasena Club with registration number MLP/2022/43. 

On the World Wetland Day 2022 (02.02.2022), Dr. Suresh Babu G. S., Assistant Professor. JNU inaugurated the club. The club enrolls the students as its members and the Directorate Environment & Climate Change (DoECC) awards them certificates on the year of their completion of their course. Annually the club celebrates ecologically important days, leads ecologically sustainable practices, propagates awareness on sustainable lifestyle for the environment and conducts nature camps/visits in collaboration with outside agencies like the Kerala Forest Department.

Dr Raghul V. Rajan, Assistant Professor of English is the Faculty in Charge  and Dr. Sabeena P. S., Assistant Professor of Education is Co-faculty in Charge of the Club.
