Dr. Syed Shaz Husain is currently serving as Assistant Librarian in the Maulana Azad Library, Aligarh Muslim University, India. He is an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He is a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) awardee by the University Grants Commission. He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Library and Information Science, Banaras Hindu University.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Husain worked as a Library Trainee at the Central Library, Banaras Hindu University. He also served in various Central Government educational institutions, including Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, where he worked as a Librarian.

Dr. Husain has published research papers in several reputed scholarly journals and has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences and seminars. He actively conducts training programmes and workshops on ICT tools, reference management software, and digital research support services for researchers and academicians. He is also a Certified Mendeley Advisor. His research interests include Metadata, Intangible Cultural Heritage, Information Technology, Information Storage and Retrieval, Public Libraries, and Digital Preservation of Cultural Heritage.
