Prof. Imran Ahmad did Ph.D in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 2021 on use of autologous vein and muscle conduit to overcome peripheral nerve gaps.He did MCh. in Plastic Surgery from AMU in 1999. His field of interest is hand and microsurgery. He has 53 papers to his credit (31 International & 22 National ) and a chapter in the book "The Principles and Practice of Wound Care" on surgical management of diabetic foot ulcers. He attended 46 conferences and presented 34 papers & also chaired scientific session at international & national conferences including guest lectures. He underwent special training in hand and reconstructive microsurgery in 2002 from Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore and started microsurgery in J. N. Medical College in 2002. He was then awarded Johnson and Johnson fellowship for hand & microsurgery from Ganga Hospital in 2003; Vasudhan Arjin fellowship in Laser Surgery in 2004 by Association of Plastic Surgeons of India and he was also awarded Brig. Kathpalia fellowship in hand surgery in 2014. At present he is Life member of APSI, Reconstructive Microsurgery, National Society for Wound Care & Research and National Academy of Burns. Invited faculty in APSICON 2011, 2013; NABICON 2012, 2013 and WOUNDCARE CON 2012 and 2014. At present he is President elect of National society for wound care and research. He was joint- secretary of National Burns Academy; member of the plastic surgery team to operate cases of cleft lip in the train stationed at Babrala- UP. Running hand clinic on Saturday in OPD -16 to benefit traumatic and congenital deformities of hand. He is M.Ch (plastic surgery) and DNB plastic surgery theory & thesis examiner and paper setter. He is also regular invitee as a subject expert is various selection committee nationwide. Site Principal investigator of project  "Improving recovery outcomes for burns survivors in India: a systems approach"; Joint project with TG Institute, New Delhi under ICMR & Ministry of Health. He is also Smile train project- USA accredited plastic surgeon.
