Masood A. Beg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He is M.A. and M.Phil from Aligarh Muslim University. He specializes in Theoretical Linguistics, Language variation and literature. Besides, he has guided four Ph.D Theses in the areas of Stylistics and Language Contact. He has published 16 articles, and 15 working papers to his credit. He has participated in various National and International Seminars, Conferences and Workshops. He has been very active in organizing Academic events in the Department as Academic Secretary and Coordinator.He has more than 20 creative writing in Urdu to his credit that have appeared in reputed Magazines and Journals in Urdu Language. At present he is an Executive Committee Member of the Linguistic Society of India.
