Prof Abu Tariq completed his B.Sc. Engineering (Electrical Engineering) degree in the year 1988 with First Division (With Honours) and M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power System and Drives in the year 1999
with First Division (With Honours) from Aligarh Muslim University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from
Aligarh Muslim University in the year 2006.
His Ph.D. Topic was “DEVELOPMENT OF POWER ELECTRONICS CONTROLLERS FOR
MAXIMUM POWER GENERATION FROM SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC
CELL”. He joined Department of Electrical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University on 16 April, 1990 as Lecturer. At present he is working as a Professor in the
Department of Electrical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University. His area of research is Renewable Energy and Solar Photovoltaic Systems.
