Extension/Outreach Activities

The Department of Electrical Engineering, in line with the university, strives to promote sustainable development and social change through active involvement and outreach support for neighbouring communities. Student clubs of the department, such as the IEEE-Student chapter, IEEE SIGHT, AMU Robo-Club, etc. conduct extension activities in neighbouring communities. Faculty members are actively involved in conducting seminars and delivering talks on issues concerning the sustainable environment, community development, and social benefits. Students of the department are involved in programs organized by ECO-Club AMU such as Rallies for Energy Conservation, Green & Clean AMU Drive. On the occasion of World Ozone Day, the department also organises a plantation drive. Staff and students of the department, in collaboration with the electricity department and IEEE UP section, conduct a one-week awareness campaign on SAVE electricity. In accordance with the various government of India's initiatives, the department, as well as its students, staff, and faculty members were actively involved in conducting workshops, seminars, and talks to promote renewable energy usage, particularly solar PV.
