Professor Farah Ghaus is a distinguished academician in the Department of Anatomy at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh. With more than 24 years of teaching and research experience, she has made significant contributions to the field of anatomical sciences, particularly in foetal anatomy, which remains her primary area of expertise.

Professor Ghaus has served on the Advisory Board for Inderbir Singh’s Human Embryology (12th, 13th, and 14th editions) and IB Singh’s Human Histology (11th edition). She is also a member of the editorial boards of several reputed national and international journals and holds life membership in various professional anatomical societies, reflecting her sustained academic engagement.

She is also a certified participant of ACME (Advanced Course in Medical Education), highlighting her commitment to strengthening medical teaching methodologies and curriculum development. In addition, she serves as a member of the Curriculum Committee of her department , contributing to the planning, review, and enhancement of the medical education curriculum.She has also been a convener of the foundation course.

An accomplished researcher, Professor Ghaus has published extensively in reputed national and international journals. She is the author of Development of Maxillary Sinus: A Morphological Study in Human Foetuses, a valuable contribution to developmental anatomy literature. Her scholarly impact earned her inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who in the World, where her biography was featured continuously for five years (2010–2015).

Her academic excellence has been recognized with several honors, including the Best Indian Golden Personality Award conferred by the Friendship Forum. She has also been featured in prominent publications such as Lifestyle Magazine (March 2023), Elite Education Magazine (2023), and The Knowledge Review (2023).

Professor Ghaus has contributed significantly to academic quality assurance through her review of several renowned textbooks, including Snell’s Clinical Neuroanatomy (2nd South Asian Edition), Snell’s Clinical Anatomy (2nd South Asian Edition), Langman’s Medical Embryology (2nd South Asian Edition), and Histology: Text & Atlas (2nd Edition) by Brijesh Kumar.

Extending her academic contribution beyond the classroom, she has launched the educational YouTube channel “Ghaus’ Anatomy Lectures,” which serves as a valuable platform for medical students and anatomy enthusiasts worldwide.
