The mission of the Ph.D. (Remote Sensing & GIS Applications) programme is to educate post graduate students of Remote Sensing & GIS Applications to build careers in academia, government agencies and industry. The main objectives of the Ph.D. programme are: 

(i) To encourage students to experience research in close relation to sustainable development of the environment and society. 

(ii) To engage students to work in different areas of geospatial research, new methodologies and algorithm development

(iii) To provide research and educational opportunities in solving complex problems related to earth, environment, society, resources etc.
