Project Objective(s):

Primary Objectives:

1. To assess the prevalence of Grade 1 and 2 disabilities in newly diagnosed adult (>=15 year of age) and child (<15 years of age) leprosy patients, at multiple centres across India.

2. To assess the prevalence of Grade 1 and 2 disabilities in leprosy patients currently on treatment (MDT), at multiple centres across India.
3. To identify the severity of disabilities in newly diagnosed leprosy patients visiting multiple centres across India, using the EHF scores.

Secondary Objective:

1. To assess the psychosocial impact of leprosy-related disabilities on patients using the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI).

2. To identify various risk factors associated (including reactions and neuritis) with the development of disabilities in leprosy patients, including children.
