Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School (Boys) is a maintained Institution of Aligarh Muslim University and is affiliated to Aligarh Muslim University Board of Secondary and Senior Secondary Education Aligarh.. Established in the year 1987 under Section 12 of AMU Act,1920.This School is situated within 15 miles from the University Mosque and is located on 28 acre approx. lush green campus within the University premises. Prior to the establishment of the School, the classes were run by the respective faculties of the university. The school has been expanding continuously in its scope and range of activities. The school has truly lived up to its promise and commitment of achieving the highest level of excellence in the field of academics. These achievements have been made possible because of the concerned efforts of our Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Director of Schools Education, Principal, teachers and students. The School has maintained its old tradition of giving introductory training as a preparation for the Armed Forces.
Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School can boast of achievers in the field of academics, public services, cinema, sports, NCC etc. The school is credited with continuously producing toppers in class XII Board Examination since 2014. The School students have made the school proud by joining IIT, MBBS, JEE, Management, Armed Forces and other prestigious institution in the Country.
Around 1100 students are enrolled every year in class XI through National level Entrance Test and subsequently same number are promoted to class XII, making the total strength about 2200. Hostel facilities to outstation students admitted through entrance test are also provided by the University at Allama Iqbal Boarding House of Senior Secondary School situated inside the campus of the school.
As a feeder Institution of the Aligarh Muslim University, this Institution is expected to give quality product in order to ensure a promising future for the students in their University Life.
