Day 1

Sayyid Hamid Senior Secondary School (BOYS) is celebrating its week long literary programme (May 11, 2026- May 16, 2026). The inaugural function started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. The Principal, Mr Sabahuddin, threw light on the importance of literary events held at our institution. The Principal motivated and encouraged the students for different kinds of extra- curricular activities. Today two events were organized at School Auditorium namely Essay Writing and JAM competitions. Faculty members and students were present in the auditorium to witness the events. The Vice Principal, Mr Ashhad Jamal, the Incharge Ms Sadia Nasir, the coordinator Dr. Ghazala Rashid organized the programme.   The judges for the events were Dr. Shahzad Ahmad Siddiqui and Dr. Ghazala Rashid.  The    programme was a great success as the students participated in large numbers with zeal and enthusiasm.

May 12, 2026. As per tradition, today’s programme started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Today the speech competition began (English, Urdu and Hindi) at 9:00 am in the presence of the Principal, Mr Sabahuddin, the Vice Principal, Mr. Ashhad Jamal and the faculty members of the institution. The judges for the speech competition were Mr. Mazhar Husain (English), Dr. Mohd Ilyas (Hindi) and Dr. Mohd Abu Swaleh (Urdu). The judges inspired the participants in particular and the present students in general. The programme was conducted by the students of the school. The programme was a great success. The students took part in the event with high spirit and fervor. The total no. of participants were 21 including English, Hindi and Urdu.  In continuation literary week, today on May 13, 2026, the Literary activity began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. The Debate Competition started at 09:00 am in the School Auditorium in English, Urdu and Hindi languages in the presence of the Principal, Mr Sabahuddin, the Vice Principal, Mr. Ashhad Jamal and the faculty members of the institution. The judges for the Debate competition were Dr. Mohd Abu Saleh (Urdu), Dr. Mohd Ilyas (Hindi) and Mr. Mazhar Husain (English)). The judges motivated the participants. The programme was compered by the teachers and students of the school. The students were eager and delighted to be part of the event. The programme was very successful. The students and the teachers enjoyed the event the thoroughly. The total number of participants was 10. Most of the faculty members and the students were present in the programme. The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Abiruddin.

The Valedictory Ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran. Officiating Principal, Mr. Sabahuddin delivered the welcome address and felicitated the Chief Guest, Prof. Syed Naushad Ahmad, Former Chairperson, Department of Geography, AMU by presenting a sapling. Guest of Honour Prof. Mohd. Azam Khan, Deputy Director, DSE and Dr. Abdul Qadeer, Assistant Director, DSE, were felicitated by Officiating Vice Principal Mr. Ashhad Jamal and by Dr. Shahzad  Ahmad Siddiqui respectively. The report on Literary Week celebration was presented by Mrs. Sadia Nasir, who beautifully summarized the journey and achievements of the week which was followed by a glimpse of speeches by students who secured first position in English, Urdu and Hindi.

The prize distribution for winners and runners-up of all competitions was done in an organised manner. Certificates were also awarded to members of the organizing committee for their hard work, dedication, and team spirit. The successful execution of this large-scale event was made possible by the continuous efforts of the Event Coordinator Dr. Ghazala Rashid, the In­­-Charge Mrs. Sadia Nasir, Dr. Shahzaad Ahmad Siddiqui, Mr. Samar Iqbal, Mr. Mohd Abdullah Usman Khan, Dr. Mohammad Abiruddin, Dr. Mohd Maroof, Capt. Najaf Ali Khan, Ms. Aimen Faheem, Ms. Uzma Hashmi and Rayyan Nemat.

The programme was compered by Mr. Samar Iqbal. The event concluded gracefully with a vote of thanks by the Officiating Vice Principal Mr. Ashhad Jamal, followed by the National Anthem.

Various Competitions held and participated by the students with enthusiasm.
