Objectives

Aligarh Journal of Statistics ( AJS ) is a premier research Journal published annually by the Department of Statistics and Operations Research, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (India) since 1981.

The purpose of this Journal is to contribute to the development of all branches of  theoretical and application statistics including Econometrics, Mathematical Programming and Operations Research. AJS papers are refereed and abstracted/reviewed in Statistical Theory and Method abstracts, Mathematical Review and Current Index to Statistics (CIS).

The Editorial Board of the Journal comprises of experienced statisticians from leading research and teaching institutions around the world. The Editorial Board follows a blind reviewing process to ensure publication of high quality papers.

Papers accepted for publication in the Journal are refereed by at least two international experts. However, if two referees recommend a paper for the publication, the Journal Editorial Board accepts the paper with the condition that the author accommodates the points raised by the referee/s.

The Journal enjoys distinguished status in research circles as the Journal is acknowledged internationally by universities in Europe, North America, Australia, Japan, etc. and is being abstracted and reviewed by renowned international abstracting agencies. The AJS is also ranked as one of the core Journals in Statistics for the "Current Index to Statistics" of American Statistical Association, USA.
