Dr. Aftab Alam a gold medalist in M.A and Ph.D. in Urdu from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh has research and teaching experience of more than 15 years. He has worked as a lecturer at Govt. Inter College Kamalpur, Shamli, from December 2010 to December 2016. He is now working as an assistant professor at Department of Urdu, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh since December 2016. He writes fiction and film script. His areas of main interest are fiction and criticism. He has published more than 20 research papers and articles in various reputed national and international journals. He has 11 books, some of them compilations, to his credit. He has attended a number of national and international conferences/seminars and workshops, presented papers, delivered lectures and developed teaching & learning materials as the convener. He organized various workshops and symposiums. He has also been serving as joint editor of Fikr-o-Nazar, an esteemed journals, A.M.U. Aligarh. Dr. Aftab Alam also holds the post of the president of Film Club at CEC, A.M.U. Aligarh.
