Dr. Afsar Ahmad is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Contractual) at the Centre of Agricultural Education, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He earned his B.Sc. in Agriculture, followed by an M.Sc. (Ag.), M.Phil (Ag.), and Ph.D. (Ag.) in Genetics & Plant Breeding from Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) University, Meerut. His doctoral research focused on the study of combining ability, nature of gene action, and heterosis governing yield and associated traits in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). Dr. Ahmad successfully qualified the ICAR-NET in Genetics & Plant Breeding and possesses extensive teaching experience from his previous tenure as an Assistant Professor at Mohammad Ali Jauhar University, Rampur, as well as his role as a Guest Teacher at Aligarh Muslim University.
