Dr. Zuber Ahmad passed his MBBS, DTCD and MD ( TB & Resp. Diseases) from S. N. Medical College, Agra. He joined department of TB & Resp. Diseases, JN Medical College, AMU as lecturer on 2-9-1993, promoted to reader on 2-9-2002 and to professor on 16-4-2010. His research areas are COPD, Tuberculosis and other respiratory diseases. His teaching interest is in Tuberculosis and radiology chest. He has published more than 100 research papers, articles etc. in national and international journals such as Journal of Asthma, Chest, Indian Journal of chest diseases and allied sciences, Indian journal of tuberculosis. He has participated and presented many papers in national and international conferences. He has been awarded fellowship of national college of chest physicians, India in 2005 and fellowship of Chest College of physicians (USA) in 2008. He made efforts to get MD degree recognized by MCI in 2007. He started DOTS program in J N Medical College. He has been made member of RNTCP operational research committee of UP.Other memberships are: �?� Life fellow of National College of Chest Physicians India. �?� Life Member of Indian Chest Society India. �?� Life Member of Indian Medical Association. �?� Founder Member of Association of Chest Physicians, Agra. �?� Life Member Indian Bronchology Society. �?� Life Member Indian Society for Study of Lung Cancer. �?� Fellow Chest College of Physicians (USA) . Member state task force and zonal task force for implimentation of DOTS programme in medical colleges. He is in editorial board of "Current medical journal of India" and reviewer of "Annals of Saudi Medicine",Indian Journal of Tuberculosis, Indian Journal of Medical Research etc. Appointed vice chairman of state task force for implementation of DOTS programm in medical colleges.
