MD.RAHAT HASAN, PhD
Rahat Hasan is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh. He did his PhD in Political Science from AMU. The topic of his thesis was 'American Think Tanks and the Formulation of US Foreign Policy since World War II'. Before joining AMU, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Political Science at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANNU), Hyderabad. He has been engaged in Postdoctoral research at the Academy of International Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia (New Delhi) and the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi. He has also done a one-year Lok Sabha Internship conducted by the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training (BPST), Lok Sabha Secretariat. His primary areas of research interest include Politics and International Relations, geo-strategic issues in South and West Asia, Parliamentary Affairs, and Minority Issues in India. He has published a book on 'Foreign Policy and Strategic Issues: Think Tanks in US and South Asia' and contributed several research papers in edited volumes and academic journals.
