I did my MBBS in 1996 and MS in Ophthalmology in 2001 from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University. My career began with a Senior Residency at RML Hospital, New Delhi, after which I joined the Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (HIMSR), New Delhi where I progressed through various academic roles including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor.

I had the privilege of serving as Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at HIMSR, where I was actively involved in academic coordination, postgraduate training, curriculum development, and departmental leadership. In May 2025, I joined Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, as Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology

My areas of interests include Cataract , Glaucoma , Squint , and Oculoplasty . I remain committed to excellence in patient care, surgical training, and the mentoring of future ophthalmologists, with a continuous focus on advancing both clinical practice and medical education in the field of ophthalmology.
