Program Educational Objectives (PEO's) :

To impart the students with the basic clinical knowledge of Ophthalmology, so that the students shall be able to diagnose and treat trivial ocular conditions, provide first aid in cases of ocular emergencies, and refer complex cases in timely manner

Program Outcomes (PO's) :

  1. Be a clinician, who understands and provides preventive, curative, palliative and holistic care with compassion.

  2. Offer basic care in ophthalmology.

  3. Be aware of their own limitations and know when to refer.

  4. Contribute to the national objectives regarding prevention of blindness.

  5. Effectively communicate with patients and relatives.

1. To help students get a respectable professional degree, specially those who could not enter MBBS/Dental or such courses. 2. Specially to encourage socio economically wanting strata of the society. 3. In a short period, a job oriented absorbing course is offered to students. They can become a support to their family at an early age.

1. After 4 years course students will get a Degree in Optometry with which they can get jobs as optometrist in the country & abroad. They can join private eye Doctors as assistants and can also start their own practice. 2. They can further do M.Sc. & Phd. in Optometry & can join teaching & research works.
