Dr. Naushad Ali P.M is presently working as a Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, U.P India. Dr. Ali has over 25 years of teaching and research experience. His areas of interest include Information Management, Knowledge Management, E-publishing and applying Innovative technologies in Libraries. Being a promising researcher and voracious writer Dr Ali has published six books and over 90 research papers in various national and international journals and conference proceedings. He also served as Chairman Department of Library and Information Science, AMU, from 2009-2012. He is the editor-in-chief of the journal, Journal of Knowledge and Communication Management (JKCM). Thirteen PhDs and 2 Mphil degrees have been awarded under his supervision and guidance. He also supervised more than 80 MLISc dissertations. He has presented about forty research papers at national and international conferences and seminars. He also delivered many Invited talks at national and international conferences and workshops. He has completed Seven
research projects funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) and the University Grants Commission. He was the Deputy coordinator of his brainchild project, "Knowledge Management in Libraries", sanctioned by UGC under the SAP (DRS-1) scheme. He is the recipient of a travel grant to present a paper at the DGI-Online Conference held at Frankfurt am-main, Germany, in 2006. He has also honoured Visiting Fellowship under the Indo-French Cultural exchange programme of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, to visit France for one month to conduct short-term research on Knowledge Management in 2008. He also received HERMES Fellowship to pursue Post Doctorate (PDF) in France in 2009. His contribution to the organization and imparting of knowledge is significant as he has designed and developed a Subject Information Gateway in Information and Technology (https://www.itsubjectgateway.info) and an E-learning portal in Library and Information Science (https://www.lislearning.in), which have been accessed by professionals from more than 130 countries.  Prof. Ali is also an active member of national and international professional bodies like the International Council of Knowledge Management (ICKM), the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT), the American Society for Research (ASR), ISKO, ILA, IASLIC, IATLIS, IASS etc. Currently, he is the  Vice President of the Indian Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science (2021-2023).
