Dr. Mohammad Tariq is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of Science at AMU, Aligarh. He completed his M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry from the same institution in 2017 and qualified CSIR-JRF in Chemical Sciences and Gate. He pursued his doctoral research under the supervision of Dr. Md. Palashuddin Sk and was awarded his Ph.D. degree in 2024.

His research focuses on the design and synthesis of biomass-derived carbon dots from renewable, eco-friendly precursors, aiming to develop cost-effective and sustainable nanomaterials with minimal environmental impact. Through his research, Dr. Tariq aims to contribute to green chemistry and sustainable development by transforming waste biomass into high-value functional materials.
