I, Dr. Mohd Anwar has completed my graduation (B.U.M.S.) from Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh in 1989. I was awarded University Gold Medal for securing 1st position in BUMS examination. I have completed Post graduation (MD Moalajat) from the Department of Moalajat AMU Aligarh. I have started my academic carrier as a part time lecturer in department of Moalajat AMU Aligarh in 1994. Subsequently I joined UP state Health Services as a Medical officer. I was deputed to State Takmitut Tib College Lucknow for academic assignment. I joined Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi as a lecturer in 2001. In 2004 I was appointed as Reader in Department of Moalajat, National Institute of Unani Medicine Bangalore. Later on in 2012, I was appointed as a professor in Ilaj Bit Tadbeer in the same institution. Apart from my academic assignment I served as a chairman of Board of Studies, Faculty of Unani Medicine Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences Bangalore, Member Academic Council Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences Bangalore, Member Secretary of institutional ethical committee for Bio medical research, Member animal ethical committee, Chairman drug formulation committee, Member standing finance committee NIUM Bangalore. I have rendered my services as Head Department of Moalajat, Head Department of Ilaj bit Tadbeer and deputy superintendent of Hospital at National Institute of Unani Medicine, Bangalore. I have been also nominated Member Governing Council

National Institute of Unani Medicine Bangalore .

For my academic and research work I was conferred Hakim Ahmad Ashraf National Award from Hakeem Ahmad Ashraf Memorial Society, Hyderabad in 2010. Recently Best Teacher Award was conferred by Central Council for Research In Unani Medicine, Ministry of AYUSH , Govt of India on the occasion of World Unani day and International conference on Unani Medicine at AP Sinde Symposium Hall, NASC Complex Pusha, New Delhi on 11th February 2017.  I was also conferred Life Time Achievement Award

by Central Council for Research In Unani Medicine, Ministry of AYUSH , Govt of India  in 2019. 

Currently I am working as a Professor Ilaj bit Tadbeer in the department of Ilaj-bit-Tadbeer AMU Aligarh. I have published 2 books, 72 research papers in Journals of National and International repute, and 15 popular articles. I have guided 18 MD students as Supervisor and 2 MD students as Co-supervisor from various clinical departments. I have presented 23 papers in National and International conferences and seminar. I have approximately 28 years teaching, clinical and research experience. My thrust area of research is intervention of Regimenal therapies in the management of various life style diseases and development of SOPs for various Regimenal procedures.
