Dr. Mohammad Shoaib is a dedicated academician and clinician in the field of Unani Medicine, with extensive training, teaching experience, and research contributions. He obtained his Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) and Doctor of Medicine (Moalejat) degrees from Aligarh Muslim University in 2005 and 2009, respectively. He also holds a Diploma in Pharmacy from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital AMU, completed in 2000.

Prior to his current appointment, he served as a Lecturer at Dr Abdul Ali Unani Medical College Hospital and Eram Unani Medical College, where he gained substantial teaching and clinical experience. He is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Ilaj-bit-Tadbeer at Aligarh Muslim University.

Dr. Shoaib has actively participated in numerous national and international scientific conferences, presenting research on diverse aspects of Unani Medicine. His primary research interests include the clinical application and scientific validation of Ilaj-bit-Tadbeer (regimenal therapy) in the management of pain, musculoskeletal disorders, and lifestyle diseases. His work also focuses on integrating classical Unani principles with contemporary advancements in medical and basic sciences to generate evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

In teaching, he adopts an interactive and concept-oriented approach, emphasizing the development of clinical reasoning and a sound understanding of fundamental Unani principles, aligned with modern scientific perspectives.

Dr. Shoaib has made significant scholarly contributions, authoring four books and publishing more than 70 research papers in reputed national and international journals. He has also delivered over 30 invited lectures. His publications have appeared in recognized journals, including Hamdard Medicus, Indian Journal of Traditional Knowledge, Hippocratic Journal of Unani Medicine, Journal of Indian Community Health, Indian Journal of Unani Medicine, Jahane-Tib, and Tarjumane-Tib.

He remains committed to advancing Unani Medicine through rigorous research, academic excellence, and the integration of traditional knowledge with modern scientific methodologies, with the aim of promoting holistic and evidence-based healthcare.
