Mohammad Wajid (Senior Member, IEEE) is a Professor in the Department of Electronics Engineering at AMU, Aligarh. Wajid did his B.Tech (Electronics) from AMU - Aligarh and his M.Tech (VLSI and Embedded Systems) from IIIT Hyderabad. He obtained a PhD degree in Signal Processing from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He is also a senior member of IEEE, USA. He also serves as a reviewer for reputed journals, viz. IEEE Transaction, Springer, Elsevier, etc.

Awarded grant for an R&D project under the Chips-to-Startup (C2S) program of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India, September 2023, as a Chief Investigator at AMU. This is in collaboration with IIITH and MNIT Jaipur. The project title is Development of Silicon Proven IP Cores, Transceiver IC, and System Prototype for mmWave Radar Sensing in Healthcare and Security Applications.

Awarded grant for organizing a two-week Faculty Development Program on Speech Enabled Automation Technologies, sponsored by AICTE Training And Learning (ATAL) Academy, from February 6, 2023 to February 17, 2023 as a co-coordinator.

Awarded grant for organizing a five-day Instruction Enhancement Program on Digital Design, Logic Synthesis, and Implementation of Algorithms on FPGA, sponsored by MeitY, GOI, from November 6, 2025 to November 10, 2025 as a coordinator.
