Dr. Aiyaz Ahmad Khan is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University at Centre Murshidabad, West Bengal. He has been actively engaged in teaching and research for more than one decade. His professional background includes significant research and policy-related roles, having served as Senior Survey Associate at National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and Project Junior Consultant at National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA). He earned his Ph.D. (Education) from Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. Reflecting his diverse intellectual interests, he holds Master's degrees (MA) in both Economics & Hindi, as well as Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Further, he has successfully qualified National Eligibility Test (NET). 

Dr. Khan has authored a book, i.e., Educational Opportunities of Muslims, published by reputed publisher. He developed two standardized psychometric tools, viz. Socio-Economic Status Scale and Student's Institutional Preference Scalewhich have been published by reputed psychological laboratories. He also contributed three chapters in edited volumes and published more than thirty research articles in reputed national and international journalsbesides presenting several papers in national and international seminars and conferences. His area of interest is Assessment for Learning, Education and the National Context, Pedagogy of Economics, Pedagogy of Hindi and Value Education. His research area includes Higher Education, Teacher Education, School Education, and Minority Education.

Additionally, Dr. Khan has taken several key administrative responsibilities at A.M.U. Centre Murshidabad, including Coordinator of Unit-B.Ed., Joint Coordinator of Regional Centre for Distance Education and Assistant Proctor. He also served as In-charge of different committees (i.e., Official Language (Hindi) Implementation Committee, Publication Committee & Library of Centre) at Centre Murshidabad. In addition, he played an important role in organizing numerous academic programmes, such as, Seminar, Webinar, Capacity Building Training Workshop on Holistic Progress Cards (HPC), Community Outreach Programmes, etc., at both departmental and Centre levels, fostering a collaborative and enriched academic environment.
