Dr. Fahmeeda Zeenat holds  MS (Unani) in Ilmul Qabalat wa Amraz-e-Niswan (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik (2014, First Division, 77.16%), and a BUMS (First Division with Distinction) from Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, AMU, Aligarh (2008). She has qualified the National Teacher Eligibility Test (NTET) and is registered with NCISM (Teacher Code: UNNQ00011), UP Medical Council (Reg. No. 14252), and Central Registration (CR/UN/UP/24085).

Dr. Zeenat has over 10 years and 7 months of combined UG and PG teaching experience. She has been serving as Assistant Professor at the Department of Niswan wa Qabalat, AK Tibbiya College, AMU, Aligarh since February 10, 2017. Prior to this, she served as Assistant Professor at ZVM Unani Medical College & Hospital, Pune (August 2015 – February 2017), approved by MUHS, Nashik.

Dr. Zeenat is a prolific researcher with over 45 research publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals including Hippocratic Journal of Unani Medicine, Indian Journal of Traditional Knowledge, International Journal of Green Pharmacy, touchReviews in Ophthalmology, and BIOSCENE, among others. She has also authored two books (Kitab-ut-Ta'dia, 2019; Moalajat Amraze Niswan, 2024) and contributed a book chapter on PCOS in a Bloomsbury publication (2025). Her research primarily focuses on clinical evaluation of Unani formulations in gynaecological and obstetric conditions including dysmenorrhoea, vaginal infections, uterine prolapse, PCOS, endometriosis, and infertility.

Dr. Zeenat is actively engaged in curriculum development and has served as a Coordinator for framing the competency-based PG curriculum in Amraze Niswan wa Qabalat under the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), New Delhi (2024–25), and is a member of the NCISM Review Committee for PG Unani syllabus contributing significantly to curriculum design and modernization of Unani medical education. 

Dr. Zeenat is a designated Master Trainer of National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, having conducted over 12 National training sessions on Scientific Writing, Research Integrity and Publication Ethics at various accredited AYUSH institutions across India (2024–2025). She has actively participated as delegate, chairperson, paper presenter, and resource person in numerous international and national conferences, seminars, CMEs, and workshops related to Unani medicine, obstetrics, gynaecology, and academic development.

Dr. Zeenat's current research interests are in the areas of focused on the clinical evaluation and scientific validation of Unani pharmacological and regimenal therapeutics in the management of gynaecological and obstetric disorders, including dysmenorrhoea, leucorrhoea, PCOS, pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine fibroid, endometriosis, and female infertility. She has a keen academic interest in the phytochemical and pharmacological appraisal of medicinal plants used in Unani Materia Medica, with emphasis on their evidence-based application in women's health. Her scholarly pursuits further extend to competency-based medical education, research methodology, scientific writing, and publication ethics in the AYUSH system of medicine.
