VISION

To achieve excellence in food technology education, research, and innovation by nurturing competent and ethical professionals who contribute to sustainable development and the vision of Viksit Bharat.

MISSION

1. To deliver high-quality education in food science and technology that meets industry requirements, international standards, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 2 Zero Hunger.

2. To ensure high-quality teaching, research, and innovations in a stimulating academic culture and in an energy-efficient and sustainable environment.

3. To create innovative research and pilot-scale facilities for food processing, water impingement technologies, waste valorization, and sustainable product development.

4. To develop a sense of responsibility for food safety, clean water, hygiene, and environmental sustainability as well as ethical values and leadership.

5. To enhance industry-academy linkages in research, consultancy, training, internships, and technology transfer for sustainable food systems and resource-efficient solutions.
