Centre for Biomedical Engineering

The Centre for BiomedicalEngineering was created in July 2016 in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology after obtaining approval of the Executive Council, AMU. The faculty members attached to this centre are from Z H College of Engineering and Technology and J N Medical College and Hospital. The centre aims to provide an ideal platform for interdisciplinary research. Presently, M. Tech. and Ph.D. programs are running in the Centre.

·         Ability to design, conduct experiments and analyse data for scientific results related to biomedical engineering.

·         Ability to acquire skill to use the engineering tools for biomedical engineering practice.

·         Ability to effectively communicate and pursue lifelong learning in the biomedical scientific concepts and ideas. 

 

MTech (Research) in Biomedical Engineering

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

·         To impart training about design, conduct experiments and analyse data for scientific results.

·         To impart training about the effective use of the related software tools used in the analysis of biomedical engineering.

·         To impart training about the effective use of hardware and tools for biomedical engineering practice.

·         To impart knowledge about biomedical scientific concepts and ideas. 

·         To develop understanding of professional, social and ethical responsibilities.

  • PO1:  An ability to independently carry out research / investigation and development work to solve practical problems

      :   An ability to write and present substantial technical report / document.


                • PO3
                  :   Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program.  The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program.
