IMPACT-2026

14-15 February, 2026

Organized by

Department of Electronics Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh

Call for Proposal: Special Sessions

Theme Based Special Session

The IMPACT-2026 team plans to hold special sessions on various areas of expertise. Special session proposals are invited related to the broad area of IMPACT-2026 or the theme of the conference.

The proposal submitter must have expertise in the proposed area. The proposals will be judged by the ability to bring together the key researchers in the state-of-the-art area, further development of the area, and help in establishing a larger research community beyond the area. The organizer(s) of the special session will be the resource person motivating the researcher(s) to submit papers to the special session. All papers submitted will go through the regular process of submission and review. All the papers are to be presented to be included in the proceedings subject to the conference proceeding publication approval from IEEE.

The proposals for the Special Sessions may be sent at conference email id impact-amu@amu.ac.in (cc to mohdwajid@zhcet.ac.in) by 10.09.2025 with all necessary details as per the format given below.

Note: TA/DA will be provided to the special session's chair as per rules.

Details of the special session in no more than 300 words:

THz spectrum is being explored for the future wireless applications. The usability of THz frequency band especially in the ranges of 0.1 to 10 THz is expected in the defense, medical and communication systems. The future application require the higher data transfer rate which can be possible with the development of THz systems. Antennas are the front warriors for establishing the wireless link over the free space. The implementation of antenna with the advanced features which can make it compatible with the future technology must be explored timely. The implementation of THz antennas is on the way now and researchers are working hard to develop them equipped with the multiple features like reconfigurability, high gain, wide bandwidth, high radiation efficiency and many more.
