Dr. Arshi Shoaib, working as Assistant Professor at Women's College of Aligarh Muslim University since 2017. She holds bachelor's, postgraduate and doctoral degrees in Islamic Studies from Aligarh Muslim University. Her research area is ‘A Critique of Orientalists’ Contribution to Sirah Literature’ which aims to critically examine the writings of key Orientalists on the life of Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh). Her research work has published in the form of a book entitled “Sirah of Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) from the Orientalists’ Perspective.” She has qualified NET and awarded JRF by University Grants Commission of India in 2011. She has published more than a dozen research papers in the peer reviewed journals of national and international repute and 3 chapters in books. She has attended and participated in several national and international conferences/seminars/symposiums and workshops. She is currently involved in teaching various undergraduate courses and focusing on her field of interest.
