Dr. Asif Hasan is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh. He completed his graduation, post-graduation, and Ph.D. from Aligarh Muslim University in 2013, 2015, and 2018 respectively. He also earned a Diploma in Counselling in 2018 and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Data Analytics with specialization in SPSS.
Dr. Hasan qualified the UGC–NET examination in 2018 and was awarded the prestigious ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship in the same year. During his research tenure, he represented Aligarh Muslim University at the World Student Environment Network (WSEN) program in the United Kingdom in 2016, which witnessed participation from 46 countries across the globe. He also served as a Visiting Faculty at Samarkand State University, Uzbekistan, in 2022.
His areas of specialization include Biopsychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Human Development. Dr. Hasan has published several theoretical and empirical research articles in reputed Scopus-indexed and UGC-listed journals of Psychology. He is the author of four books and has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences and seminars in India and abroad, where he has presented research papers.
Dr. Hasan has also attended two summer schools on Neurosciences at IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Kanpur. He possesses operational expertise in statistical and neuroimaging tools including SPSS, EEG, fMRI, and MRI, along with experience in neuroimaging data processing using SPM12.
