Dr.Najam Sardar is presently working as Associate Professor, Department of Petroleum Studies, AMU, Aligarh. She did Ph.D. in Petroleum Studies in 2014 and M.Tech in Petrochemicals and B. Tech. in Chemical Engg from AMU Aligarh with First Division (Hons.), Her research areas includes  polymer surfactant interactions and Environmental applications of surfactants. She has published many research papers in peer-reviewed Journals and conferences. She has supervised one PhD scholar, 21 M. Tech dissertations and many UG and PG Projects including projects of B. Sc Industrial Chemistry and P.G. Diploma in Environment, University Polytechnic, AMU. Worked as Chairman, Department of Petroleum Studies, worked as PG NBA Coordinator, PhD Program coordinator, M. Tech Program Coordinator, and as a program officer with NSS, AMU wing. Chaired the conference session in HEEcon-2012 and HEE-con-2015, member of organizing committee in All India Seminar on Energy Management in Process Industries in 2006 and National Conference on Advances in Petroleum Refining and Petrochemical Technologies in 2009 and International Conference on Advances in Chemical Science and Petrochemical Engineering ACAPE-2020. Co-Chaired technical session in ACAPE-2020. Member of Institution of Engineers. Received best paper presentation award at PETROFEST-2011 organized by Delta Studies Institute, Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam. Served as a member of Board of Studies of Petroleum Engineering Department, Glocal University, Saharanpur. Acted as a resource person in UGC Human Resource Development Centre, AMU, Aligarh, CALEM Program of the MHRD at the Integral University, Lucknow, in one Week Workshop on Research Tools & Techniques, and in Subject Refresher Course in Environmental studies, UGC Human Resource Development Centre, AMU. Delivered one Lecture in the MOOCS course entitled "ICT in Teachers Education" under SWAYAM, MHRD.
