Dr. Mohammad Arif is an Assistant Professor (contractual) in the Department of Mathematics at Aligarh Muslim University. He completed his high school and intermediate certificates in the districts of Kasganj and Kannauj, both located in Uttar Pradesh (U.P.). He then enrolled at Aligarh Muslim University, where he earned his undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in Mathematics. During his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, he was awarded the AMU-Michigan-USA Scholarship and achieved first division in all his degree certificates. On June 30, 2020, he received his Ph.D. degree in the area of metric fixed point theory from the Department of Mathematics at AMU, under the supervision of Prof. M. Imdad. Throughout his Ph.D. program, he was a recipient of the Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF), in the form of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF). He has also qualified for CSIR-NET with All India Rank of 52 in Mathematical Sciences.
He has published a number of research papers in refereed journals of international repute, most of them are indexed in SCI (with Impact Factors), namely: Miskolc Mathematical Notes, Filomat, Journal of Function Spaces, Mathematical Sciences, Fixed Point Theory and Applications, etc
The main areas of research interest include Metric Fixed-Point Theory, Theory of coincidence and common fixed points, and relation-theoretic fixed-point analysis. He has teaching interests in Calculus, Coordinate Geometry of two and three dimensions, Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations, Real Analysis, Metric Spaces, Functional Analysis, Topology, Set Theory, Linear algebra, etc.
