Dr. Tariq Siddique conferred with the degree of B.Sc. (Geology Hons.) in 2012, M.Sc. (Applied Geology) in 2014 from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Dr. Siddique received University Gold Medal and Dr. H.S. Pareek Medal for his academic excellence and achieving the highest grades in his post-graduation at Aligarh Muslim University. Dr. Siddique was awarded with Ph.D. degree in 2019 from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR), Roorkee. The topic of his Ph.D. is "Slope stability investigations of road cut slopes: NH-58, Rishikesh to Devprayag". Dr. Siddique is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh since 2015.
The research interests of Dr. Siddique include slope stability and geotechnical engineering. He is particularly interested in slope stability appraisal along transportation corridors in different sections of the Himalayas. His research is mainly focused on rock mass characterization, kinematic analysis and numerical simulation by Generalized Hoek-Brown Criterion and Mohr-Coulomb Criterion. Dr. Siddique also worked on Rockfalls, Landslide hazard zonation, and stability assessment of debris and rock-cum-debris slopes. Dr. Siddique has published 21 research articles in peer-reviewed International and National Journals of repute and 6 chapters in the various books published by Springer. He is also having several publications in conference/seminar/workshop proceedings.

Dr. Siddique is a life member of the Indian Geotechnical Society, Delhi Chapter, India and Indian Association of Sedimentologists (IAS), India.
Dr. Siddique teaches Engineering Geology, Geophysical Exploration, Global Climate Change, Engineering Geology & Geotechniques and Oceanography at postgraduate level and Geological Field Techniques, Disaster Management, Historical Geology at Undergraduate level. He has supervised 16 post-graduate dissertations in Engineering Geology. Dr. Siddique is also active in several academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the university authorities.
