Currently serving as Assistant Professor of German Language and Literature in the Department of Foreign Languages at Aligarh Muslim University since 12/10/2021, my academic background includes a Ph.D. in German Language and Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, and a Ph.D. in Arabic from The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad. An M.A. in English from Annamalai University and the traditional qualification of Alim Fāzil from Jamia Amjadiyya, Uttar Pradesh, further strengthen my interdisciplinary foundation. With over thirteen years of sustained engagement with the German language in academic, institutional, and professional contexts, my work integrates language teaching, literary studies, translation, and intercultural communication. At Aligarh Muslim University, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in German language and literature are taught with a focus on linguistic competence, critical textual analysis, translation practices, and contextual interpretation. Alongside academia, professional experience includes more than four years as a Senior Associate at EY Global Business Services (India) LLP, translating confidential legal, economic, and administrative documents across Arabic, English, and German, as well as ongoing freelance translation work for Middle East–based companies. Professional proficiency in German, Arabic, English, and Malayalam informs a sustained commitment to multilingual education, pedagogy, and high-quality institutional translation.
