Dr. Abdur Rahman Ansari is teaching French as Assistant Professor (Contractual) French in the Department of Foreign Languages, Faculty of International Studies, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, since 2019. He has also served in the capacity of Guest Faculty French in the same department for one year 2017-2018. He holds an M.Phil and Ph.D degree in the domain of Literary translation and translation studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Dr. Abdur Rahman’s academic pursuit focuses on Literary Translation and Translation Studies particularly translations from French into Indian languages: Urdu and Hindi. Currently he is engaged in teaching undergraduate and post-graduate courses of reading, writing, translation and literature.
