Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Ubaidullah Bokhari is presently working as Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, India, and is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the prestigious NMEICT ERP Mission Project sponsored by the Government of India. He served as Chairman, Department of Computer Science, AMU, during 01.01.2010–31.12.2012 and 12.03.2014–11.03.2017. He has also served as Associate Professor and Director of Studies at the Australian Institute of Engineering & Technology, Victoria, Melbourne (Australia). Prof. Bokhari possesses more than 37 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience.

Prof. Bokhari holds a D.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Aligarh Muslim University. His doctoral research was in the area of Software Reliability, and he has the distinction of being the first Ph.D. graduate of the Department of Computer Science, AMU. He has played a pioneering role in initiating and promoting doctoral research within the department. Under his supervision, 20 research scholars have successfully completed their Ph.D. degrees, while several scholars are currently pursuing research under his guidance. He has also supervised more than 115 postgraduate dissertations/projects and over 70 undergraduate software projects.

During his academic career, Prof. Bokhari has visited several countries including Australia, France, Canada, South Africa, and Oman for research collaboration and academic engagements. He has received numerous scholarships and awards throughout his career, including the prestigious Australian Postgraduate Award (Industry) Scheme Scholarship in 2004, several merit scholarships, and multiple Best Paper Awards at international conferences.

Prof. Bokhari is a Life Member of the Computer Society of India (CSI), a Member of IEEE, and serves as a NAAC Assessor. He is also the Chief Editor of the following journals: (a) Global Journal of Information Sciences and Applications, (b) Global Journal of Computing Graphics and Techniques, (c) Global Journal of Computer and Digital Techniques, and (d) Journal of Recent Advances in Science, Technology and Information Technology.

A prolific researcher, Prof. Bokhari has published more than 160 research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences, including publications in IEEE, Springer, Wiley, Scientific Reports, Discover Computing, PeerJ Computer Science, and other leading journals. He has authored five books, namely Cyber Security (Springer Publication, ISBN: 978-981-10-8535-2), Fundamentals of Information Technology, Business Data Processing, UNIX Operating System, and Network Security and Cryptography.

His research interests include Software Reliability, Cyber Security, Security and Cryptography, Software Engineering, Database Management Systems, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Data Mining, Internet of Things (IoT), Image Processing, Graph Neural Networks, Mental Health Analytics, and E-Learning Technologies.

Prof. Bokhari, along with his research scholars, developed a novel software stream cipher known as the BOKHARI Stream Cipher, designed to provide 128-bit security while ensuring efficiency, speed, and resistance against contemporary cryptanalytic attacks. His major research and development contributions include: (1) BOKHARI-TSSR: Tool for Secure Software Requirements, (2) BOKHARI-WSM: A Multimodal Lexical Word Sense Disambiguation System, (3) BOKHARI-IMBLS: Intelligent Multi-Agent Based E-Learning System, and (4) BOKHARI-SFS: A Smart Feedback System Model for E-Learning.

Prof. Bokhari is also the holder of three patents, including innovations in Wireless Sensor Network Security, Stream Cipher Design (BSF-128), and Face Detection Systems for Access Control. He continues to contribute actively to teaching, research, innovation, and academic leadership at national and international levels.
