Dr. Mohammad Sajid is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, India. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science (2016), M.Tech. (2012), and MCA (2010) from the School of Computer and Systems Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He has been associated with AMU since 2016 and has previously worked as a Project Associate at JNU under the DST-PURSE program.

His research interests include Evolutionary and Swarm Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud and Edge Computing, Cybersecurity, Cryptography, Combinatorial Optimization, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and Internet of Things (IoT). His work focuses on the application of intelligent optimization and machine learning techniques to solve complex problems in cloud computing, cyber-physical systems, scheduling, routing, and information security.

Dr. Sajid has published more than 70 research articles in reputed international journals and conferences published by IEEE, ACM, Elsevier, Springer Nature, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, and other leading publishers. His publications have received over 1,900 citations with an h-index of 23. He has also edited seven scholarly books published by Springer, CRC Press, and IGI Global.

He serves as an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports (Springer Nature) and several other international journals. His achievements include the Wiley Top Cited Article Award (2025), Best Paper Research Award (ICECI-2023), UGC-BSR Start-Up Research Grant, and SERB National Postdoctoral Fellowship. He actively supervises doctoral and postgraduate research and contributes to various academic and professional activities.
