Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Siddiqui began his professional career in computer science as a software developer. After several years of working in the software industry, he discovered that his true interests and potential lay in research and academia. This realization led him to transition into teaching, where he began a long and fulfilling academic career at King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia, where he served for many years. As technology and research continued to evolve rapidly, Dr. Siddiqui recognized the importance of further strengthening his academic foundations through doctoral studies. Motivated by a desire to update his expertise and engage more deeply with contemporary developments in software engineering, he returned to his home country to pursue a PhD at his alma mater, Aligarh Muslim University. Under the guidance of the distinguished scholar Prof. M. U. Bokhari, he conducted his doctoral research in software engineering with a focus on software reliability modeling. During his doctoral studies, his research initially focused on developing and analyzing software reliability growth models. Over time, and in response to emerging technological trends, his work expanded to incorporate concepts from machine learning and artificial intelligence alongside traditional software engineering and reliability practices. His research contributions span several areas, including software engineering, software reliability modeling, cybersecurity, and intelligent computing systems. Despite his strong engagement with research, Dr. Siddiqui’s greatest passion lies in teaching and mentoring students. This motivated him to take up the Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty) position in Aligarh Muslim University, where he works to this day. He values the opportunity to share knowledge, guide students in their academic development, and encourage discussions that lead to new ideas and innovative thinking. With extensive experience in both research and teaching, Dr. Siddiqui continues to contribute to the advancement of computer science education while fostering an environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
