Dr. Mohammad Afzal Khan is working as Assistant Professor (Contractual) in the Centre for Distance and Online Education, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Dr. Mohammad Afzal Khan qualified UGC NET for Lecturership. He did his post-graduation in Urdu from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, and completed his Ph.D. in Urdu from the Department of Urdu, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He is teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Centre for Distance and Online Education, A.M.U., Aligarh. He was awarded the Maulana Azad National Fellowship for his doctoral research. He has presented papers in various National and International Seminars and Conferences. He has also contributed a chapter titled “Premchand ki Afsana-nigari ki Khususiyat” for the B.A. (Hons.) programme of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad. His research papers and articles have been published in reputed journals and edited books, including works on children’s literature, progressive Urdu poetry, and literary criticism. His areas of interest include Classical and Progressive Urdu Poetry, Literary Criticism, and Linguistics.
